whoever started bringing large evergreens into their home, just so they could place gifts under them...talk about insanity. and we put colored blinking lights on it and paper ornaments made a century ago. all of a sudden this afternoon, i just found this insanely odd. Christmases are traditionally celebrated by family members. I find this disappointing. I'd rather have friends' names on stockings hanging on the mantle with our own. animals are kind of silly to have stockings for but...hey, it looks like we have more family than we do. and more people so that the focus isn't on me. it's probably going to be on the friend we're including x-mas morning and I even bought a stocking for. I want to start getting ready now for x-mas afternoon but it'd be pointless. I want to give my dog a bath but he'll just be dirty so i have to do it x-mas eve since i'll be home alone *tear* (i'm sooo happy i don't have to go) and to make it even better, I've got therapy that day. Oo and i have an appointment with the guy who runs this social anxiety disorder group. He sounds really nice. I'm afraid though that i'll go in there and because i can hide my social phobia pretty well, he'll think i didn't answer the questions truthfully. God my eyes have been so tired lately but my body feels like i just had 5 espressos. i can't decide if i should go to sleep or if I should go running. my friend won't be on tonight *tear* but at least i can go to sleep at like ten instead of midnight or one. i have no desire to wake up at seven tomorrow but whatever, i can kill time in my room reading or something. Medieval tapestries and "furry" princesses sitting regal and refined, with a disturbingly smug look. Blinking bushes harvest memories of old...and new. Circuit breakers too miniscule to light 100,000 flashing bulbs, we dwell in darkness. Boxes with bows piled high beneath the evergreen...what idiot came up with that idea? And they call me strange. I'm so bored outta my mind i think i'll go to sleep before my mother makes me curl anymore ribbon.
