NOVELS & NOVELETTES

..Title: The Living Thoughts of Kierkegaard: Number 6
..Author: Soren Kierkegaard
..Pages: 245
..Review: Awsome book, though seriously difficult. Deals with religion, sin, the present age, the ethical, and others. A perfect introduction to the world of philosophy.

..Title: Einstein's Dreams
..Author: Alan Lightman
..Pages: 179
..Review: A collection of theories about time. One of which is correct. They stray from the bizaar to insane to factual. Sci-fi multiple reality scenes intertwined with time that changes with altitude. It's an interesting read. Stories range from two to four pages in length.

..Title: Notes From Underground
..Author: Fyodor Dostoevsky
..Pages: 158
..Review: This short book starts out as a philosophical ride through a crazed man's mind. One point in specific which has always stayed with me is one which involves mice. I've read it over and over and i'm still amused. It's short and sweet and until the he moves on to the act that consumes the rest of the book, it mostly held my interest.

..Title: Crime and Punishment
..Author: Fyodor Dostoevsky
..Pages: 505
..Review: This one I had a little more trouble with. I did finally get through it but I think it took more of my attention than I was willing to give. It was an incredible book by an awsome writer. I only wish i could read it in his own words rather than those of a translator.

..Title: Of Human Bondage
..Author: W. Somerset Maugham
..Pages: 611
..Review: I'm pleased to say that I felt privilaged to have the oportunity to read this very LONG novel. It was a triumphant tale. It was long but never boring, though I do believe many would beg to differ. It's another one of those acquired tastes. Another struggling artist novel set in europe. If you wish to read purely for your own educational advancement, this book is for you. If you have to read x number of pages, this is a good 400 down, and it's not very painful.

..Title: Lord of the Flies
..Author: William Golding
..Pages: 256
..Review: Okay, if you weren't forced to read this in grade school, then I wouldn't suggest you pick it up now. There are lots of other books that would be more benificial. It has some lessons and a satirical nature to it, but it's unrealistic and annoyingly dramatic and predictable.

..Title: The Natural Order of Things
..Author: Antonio Lobo Antunes
..Pages: 298
..Review: My favorite novel to date. It was confusing as hell at first but once I got the gist of things, I really learned to love the characters and everything else involved. Different characters narrate each chapter but it's a unique way to give an all-around look at the situations they face and how they all relate. I laughed, I cried, I even rolled my eyes a few times. I highly recommend this book.

..Title: The Summer After June
..Author: Ashley Warlick
..Pages: 254
..Review: This book was short and sweet, though not short enough i'm afraid for how grossly sweet it was. It had a very unwelcomed twist at the end but then again short and sweet isn't really my cup of tea.

..Title: Christmas Box
..Author: Richard Paul Evans
..Pages: 125
..Review: A cute book for a rainy sunday afternoon. I don't recommend dragging it out any longer than that.

..Title: The Inland Sea: Fiction
..Author: Steven Varni
..Pages: 269
..Review: A very good book from my view. Though as the main charachter grew up, I found myself counting down the pages left until it was over. Starts out great, a page turner, then dwindles.
