Tracey Gold, best known for her role as Carol Ann Seaver in the widely sindicated series "Growing Pains," began her battle with anorexia while on hiatus, struggling with the fat jokes often scripted in the show. In 1994 Gold portrayed Nancy Walsh in "For the Love of Nancy," a made-for-tv movie in which we see her character develop anorexia and her parents' fight to save her, among many others. As far as inspiration goes, her family at the "Growing Pains" set got her to seek help and she never looked back. You can see her most recently in the thriller "She's No Angel" in theatures in 2001.
