And so it starts. I've only been trying to fix bug after bug for the past 10 hours or so. The text editor disappeared on me so I could add titles and menu items and cagories but no actual content. Now that we seem to be functioning for the time being...I'll get some content up before proceeding with other things. My stuff has been piling up on my desktop, waiting for a place to go.
It keeps telling me I'm not authorized to view x resource or ... restricted access... BUT I'M SIGNED IN AS SUPER ADMIN!!!
Joomla! is great, it is, I just don't understand why there are so many things you have to do to get one thing done. I wanted to create menu items but in order to figure out what type of menu item to create I had to sort through the 183 page manual because the "Help" feature does not explain. Blog Category Table or Blog Section Content? or Blog Section Table? Blog Category Content? Blog Content? Static Content? Then the instructions say you can create section and category items from the menu manager area or from the Content > All Content Items or wherever else but they don't mention that if you create a category or section in the menu area then it doesn't show up in the All Content/Section Items listings and it just screws everything up. I've created and deleted menu items so many times I just want to scream. I ended up making for instance "Words" a Blog Section List then the years as Blog Section Content then Months as Blog Category Content because it wouldn't let me put sections under sections or categories under other categories so that I could organize everything properly. Well this is going to take some manuvering and uh...calm patience. I don't think I can do patience much less calm when it comes to these things....grrr
