EATING DISORDERS
..Title: Wasted : A Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia
..Author: Marya Hornbacher
..Pages: 298
..Review: This book is beyond spectacular. The best eating disorder book I have ever read and probably will ever read. I've read it twice and before I've recovered I'll probably read it at least one more time if not more. It's beautifully sincere and truthful. The author doesn't pretend to know more than she does. She explains it how it is--no more, and no less. Everyone with an eating disorder or with a friend or family member with an eating disorder should read this book if not for understanding, then for reasoning, for some glimmer of hope. Do not pass up the chance to read it.

..Title: Stick Figure
..Author: Lori Gottlieb
..Pages: 240
..Review: A semi-mediocre book. I don't remember much about it which means it couldn't have been that good. Fortunately, that also means it wasn't bad either. Read it as a second or third book. It won't teach you much, but it will add to understanding by giving you a second viewpoint.

..Title: Diary of an Eating Disorder: A Mother and Daughter Share Their Healing Journey
..Author: Chelsea Browning Smith
..Pages: 222
..Review: Boring and uh..not completely about eating disorders. Childhood sexual abuse comes into play as well as a mother's sorrow. I was bored, though I can't call it a bad book. It was written well, it just didn't hold my interest.

..Title: Inner Hunger: A Young Woman's Struggle Through Anorexia and Bulimia
..Author: Marianne Apostolides
..Pages: 171
..Review: Awful. Don't read it unless you like dramatization. The whole book sounded fake and dramatic. Clearly not the best work. I pray to god this author has never published beyond this one book.
