Four hundred years; death comes so easily
I walk the streets avoiding the Game
Avoiding death
Avoiding them
A tingle runs through my body and then hits me like a knife in the chest
Another Immortal

I am Immortal

I lower my head and walk in
Maybe he will not find me
But then the voices call to me from the alleyway
My sword drawn, I enter the darkness
Whispers fill my head

This was the game
Competing for the ultimate power
The prize
Only one would live through the hunt
Then they alone would rule the world

I walk through the alleyway and look around
I search cautiously for my hunter
A voice calls to me once again
"Come to me"
Hesitate
The voice speaks again
"Are you ready?"
I plant my feet and am ready
A body flies at me and we battle in the dim light

As we fight, I look for a place to escape
I tire
A man enters the alley
The fight has stopped
The hunter disappears
"There will be no fight today"
I hide my weapon and race back to the light
It is over
